Braised Pot

This is mum's killer recipe. She uses this recipe mostly for braised pork, but I like it with chicken wings much more. Ultra simple, but it's so delicious I tell you! Hubby loves this version so much more than his mum ;-)
This time, instead of just braising chicken wings, I also added pork and eggs for variety. Very nice...served it with steam white rice and a stir-fried vege!
Braised pork/chicken/eggs
Ingredients:
A few cloves of garlic, cut into pieces
1 big onion, big slices
pandan leaves (optional, but highly recommended)
sugar, to taste
dark soya sauce
water
your choice of meat/poultry/boiled eggs
Oil
1. Heat oil and add in onions, garlic and pandan leaves.
Stir fry for about 2-3mins until onions have turn soft and light golden brown.
2. Add in sugar
3. Add in dark soya sauce and water (1:3 or 1:4 if you prefer a lighter, less salty version)
4. Bring to boil.
5. Add in meat/poultry/eggs and braised over slow fire for at least an hour.
Tip: Must cook over slow fire for at least an hour, the meat will just melt in your mouth.
Alternatively, if you like ur meat to have more texture, cook for abt 30mins will do.
